PPro i5 or i7
Want to purchase one ot the new imacs. Will want it with 32 ram, nvidia 670 2gb. Would an I5 be capable? whats the difference with i7
I mostly use acvhd,hdv,dv and sometimes transcode to dnxhd 1080p.

While i5 would work, buy for the long haul. Get the i7. Make sure it has USB 3.0 also, which i think they all now do.

Go i7. We have with our current 27″ iMacs and they’re awesome.
