PPro exports DNxHD MXF fine, but not AME
Hi,
Working in a Windows7 PC with PPro CC2014 8.0.1 (21) and QT 7.6.6.
When i send and export to the queue in PPro, it opens in AME, no problem here, but everytime the format is DNxHD MXF, it gives me an error compiling movie, it says “Error de E/S” (sorry my CC is in spanish, can´t translate this error in english as i don´t know what does E/S mean even in spahish). The fact is that if i export in same format directly within PPro (not queue in AME) it exports fine. Have tried leaving both “Render in software only mode” and “GPU hardware acceleration” in AME, but always same error when selected format is DNxHD MXF. Queueing other formats like MXF Op1a or h264 renders fine with no problem. It´s not very bad, but liked to solve it if you have any clue as i make batch exports of long timelines very often.My actual graphics card is a GTX780Ti 3Gb, and the machine is a i7 4930k OC 4,4 ghz, 32 GB RAM, 4x240gb SSDs and a 3x3Tb HDD Raid0.
I haven´t updated Nvidia Drivers since 6 months ago, as i still have a proyect opened waiting for client changes, and i have plenty of media cache created with actual drivers which will need to be created again if nvidia drivers were updated, but this is one option i could try later on.
Do you have any input for this? Could it be something with Nvidia drivers? Have anyone encountered similar trouble?

Hi Gabriel,
I would clear the media cache and also possibly trash your Premiere Pro preferences. Maybe AME too honestly. Those things should help you out.
If not, then you could turn off the GPU acceleration and try it again. Finally, I agree that updating drivers needlessly sometimes gives not so great results, but generally I am completely comfortable with updating NVIDIA drivers.

Can´t clear media cache at this moment as i have almost 4.000 assets in an CS6 unfinished proyect and don´t want to generate all again, but sure i´ll do as soon as i finish it.CC2014 is a brand new instalation, i´m making tests for the switch from CS6 and haven´t changed default settings neither PPro nor AME, only the Editing workspace to fit it to my 2 monitor setup. First time i have worked with this version, i used only two 4k and three 1080p files, nothing more, but will try your tips as soon as i can.
GPU acceleration is off in AME, tried with it ON with same results. Do you mean switching it off in PPro timeline?

Thanks Dennis, trashing prefs worked, no need to clear media cache files, DNxHD MXF exporting fine in AME now from PPro queue.
