  • PPro CC – Searching Markers Globally within a project

Am I missing something (wouldn’t be the first time)?

Is there no way/tool to search all project clips/sequences for markers that contain specified text?

If i use Prelude to dutifully mark up all my clips, and ingest them into Premiere, I then have no way within Premiere to globally search all those clips to pull up the 6 out of 1200 that have, for example “BBB” in a marker?

    Thanks

My guess is that this would happen in the project panel….

once u have imported some marked up clps….

if you open the menu to add and remove metadata columns in the project panel….

is there any listed schema entries that might include you marker info?

    it should be able to…

then it ought to respond to sifting via the search field…

    found this comment:

    on this page:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/prelude/using/prelude-logging-video.html

“Another approach is to do some rough marking of the clip directly in Prelude using Speech Transcription markers. For example while logging an interview you could identify key phrases using a ST marker, the accuracy and detail you enter would be up to you. When the saved clip is opened in Premiere Pro the ST markers you added will appear in the same Analysis Text area of the metadata panel and can help you quickly locate and use those key bits you identified.”

I know that you can set the project panel to use the speech transcription metadata when sifting with the search field. So maybe this will help….
