  • PPro CC Bug? – Audio Tracks intermittently not in Export

Posted by Keith Moreau on July 2, 2013 at 9:39 pm

I have just acquired Creative Cloud primarily for Premiere Pro CC and After Effects. Though I like the snappiness of Premiere Pro CC (On Mac OS 10.8.4) , I’ve actually had to go back to Premiere Pro 5.5 because I can’t get any real work done right now until some bugs are fixed.

The big bug is the lack of Mulitcam support – it’s broken – don’t waste your time using it until it’s fixed.

The other bug I’ve just discovered is that some audio tracks which play back fine in the project don’t export. I have a multiple track sequence and one track in particular, a .WAV file audio sometimes isn’t in the exported file (a H.264 file – Vimeo HD preset).

It does sometimes appear in the export, just not every time, – it’s random and therefore I can’t rely Premiere Pro CC for my work, I’ve already wasted a couple of days on these bugs which should have never gotten in the released software.

Has anybody else seen this audio bug?

    Thanks much!

Keith – I’m having similar issues. For me, the bug occurs when I try to export a sequence that’s been round-tripped into Audition, then sent back to Premiere CC and queued for export in Media Encoder. FOr whatever reason, both Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder think tracks 3 and 4 are muted. Every time I reopen the project, those tracks’ mute buttons are set to ON even though I continually un-mute them.

So far I’ve found a temporary solution which will only work because we’re exporting for the web and losing image quality anyway: in your export settings, click “Match Sequence Settings,” then export in Premiere – not Adobe Media Encoder. This is so far the only way I’ve had any luck.

FUnny everyone has been complaining about Multi-cam bugs. So far I’ve had a good experience (knocking super hard on my wooden desk).

    Hope that helps…
    Dan

Thanks for the feedback Dan, those are exactly the symptoms I see, muted tracks where they were not muted before. I was able to get around it by doing a direct export from Premiere Pro rather than using Adobe Media encoder. Alas I was also hit by the multicam bug but I hear it is now fixed with 7.0.1.

    Again, we’re not crazy!
