    Hi,

today I all of a sudden encountered a problem in my newest project. In a scene where huge differences in audio volume from one clip to the next were quite important and mixed by me to great effect (i was really proud of myself), now audio suddenly seems to readjust itself so that it doesn’t exceed a certain level. This happens continuously, as if premiere was auto leveling my audio in the timeline. For example: When I increase the audio gain on a clip, it seems to have little to no effect and the overall volume seems keen to stay on one specific level, where my sound effects should really shoot at the audience for dramatic effect. Only thing I can rule out is windows screwing my audio, because when I playback a 2 day old render of the scene in VLC Media Player, it has all the audio frenzy that i intended still working the way it should. Really annoying thing. Bothers me quite a bit, as I am approaching completition on the project and handing it over for final mixing. Does anyone in here know what’s going wrong?

I’m running Premiere Pro CS6 Production Premium
