    Quick Question..

has anyone else successfully used dynamic link for a job after archive.
I completed an edit months ago so have now archived off the whole folder (all assets and working files) to backup drive.

Now the client now wants some minor title amends,
I opening the PP edit from archive drive, it took some relinking but worked, however the dynamic link AE title sections just plain dont want to play. – kind of understandable but very annoying.

I’ve for now just opened the AE project, and rendered out completed clips and replaced in PP as i used to do, however it just seems a PITA

Any way to ‘re-link’ the dynamic link, or do i just need to go to another workflow for future project to avoid this. I kind of liked dynamic link for basic title or short graphic segments.

    cheers
    R

For me dynamic link is a quick way to get a clip into after effects. However I always duplicate my clip first then dynamic link. I also render the clip out of after effects, import in premiere. It’s not the quickest but it gives me more peace of mind. You can also import the ae comp into premiere so that may help relink your dynamic link.

    Cheers Chris
