    Hello guys.

I am trying to run PP5.5 on my MacPro and am planning on getting the nvidia 4000 card, but have hit some major snags…

Win7 64 installs fine on this 2007 MacPro
CS 5.5 installs fine on Win7 too
I tried to install Boot camp 3.0 to upgrade to 3.1 to upgrade to 3.2, but after 3.0, all reboots result in Blue Screen of Death with some cache error.

Question is, do I HAVE to have Boot Camp 3.0 to run CS5.5 on Win7 on MacPro, and if not, will the nvidia 4000 run properly making use of the 64 bit processors, or will the fact that the kernel on this 2.1version of MacPro is 32 bit mean things will not work properly.

Anybody know the answer, much appreciated!

    Tx
    Mark.
PS, I am doing this because I already own a MacPro and have to keep it for a while for archive projects on FCP.

Is there a reason you don’t want to run Premiere Pro under MacOS? Premiere Pro has a Mac version as well – you can stick with MacOS, run FCP7 and Premiere simultaneously if you like, and you won’t run into Boot Camp issues.

    Hi Karl,
That is an alternative at the moment, and a convenient one since most of the stuff I have is on the mac on fcp, it would make life a lot easier to not have to deal with Prores>PC etc issues as well as copying things over etc.

On the other hand, I have a pair of macs ONLY because of FCP, so I would like my next system to be a PC. Of course I dont want to buy CS5.5 twice…

    Cheers,
    Mark.
