PP 2019 – exports not embedding time code
Using the most up-to-date PP and brought in a QT that has 0-hour TC start but has BITC at 00:59:40:00. Want to export new video with embedded TC to match BITC. Have change all settings to start at 00:59:40:00 but cannot get an export with proper time start.
Attached is a series of screen grabs with the various time code set 00:59:40:00 and a sample output:13661_pp2019embednotworking.png.zip

QT Pro has been dead for a while and I’m not sure it reads timecode from .mp4 files. If you bring the file back to Premiere does it have the timecode?

Thanks, Tero. No, the time code is still 0-hour when I bring back into PP.
QT Pro may be dead from a development standpoint but it still is useful in telling me what audio, video and time code streams I’m dealing with. And is good for quick and dirty cutdowns.
I use several different pieces of software and if QT Pro tells me there’s no embedded TC then none of them see embedded TC.
Alternatively is there a way to export as and .mov file? Maybe that would embed the TC properly.

I just had a go at this – with your start time edited to your beginning BITC, exporting as .mov does the trick!

Yes, Doug, that does the trick. I kept exporting same as source and that was the downfall.
