  PP 1.5 freezes during launch

  The darn thing just stops responding while launching, along with Windows altogether. Gotta hit the reset button on my PC’s box. This started happening when I put in xp service pack 2. I know, I’ve read all the posts: Adobe Media Encoder from Mainconcept, and a Windows patch called 886716. No good. Still freezes. Any thoughts?
