  • Possible to turn off connected clips in FCPX

There is one thing about FCPX that drives me nuts and thats the new connected clips feature. In FCP 7 the clips weren’t connected so if I deleted a videoclip the audio file that was under wasn’t deleted. This is so annoying since i often just want to delete a clip from the timeline. Now if the clip is connected to an audio track like a song or something the audio track also gets deleted if I delete the video clip. Note that I’m not talking about the audio thats connected to the video clip but an external audio file like a song thats playing in the background.

Is there any possibility that I can turn off this feature?
