  • Possible to modify project defaults?

Posted by Nat Jencks on November 4, 2013 at 2:33 am

Every time I start a project I have to go through and change everything to my default settings… Auto-Save ON, control panel sensitivity to 80 (for elements), always highlight current clip in media pool, change output to 1080p 2Kp from psf, image scaling > smoother, use grey background in viewer, etc etc, etc, this gets tiring.

Surely there is some way to change the project defaults? Thanks in advance!

Well, I think a defeult is always wrong, so I made myself presets for the different task and whenever a new one pops up I check and extend the list.
But most of the time I just right click the last project I worked on and copy those settings, takes 2 seconds.
But I think you can also overwrite the default manually, right ?

Thanks Sascha, I didn’t know about the “load config to current project available by right clicking a past project. Thats helpful at least that way I can make a template and just right click on that and load it each time, but it still seems like you should be able to overwrite the defaults?
