  • Possible to adjust start time of layers in a Precomp without entering into it?

I’m looking for a controller that will allow me to adjust when a layer starts/stops inside of a precomp without going inside of the precomp.

I have a bunch of highlight animations that run between 1-2 seconds that I’m trying to build into a 10 minute or so composition. The issue with this is it’s causing a lot of additional layers that I don’t really want to Shy but I would still like to organize. I want to put them in a Precomp but I would still like to adjust when they start on the timeline so everything synchs up properly.

Is there a way to do this with a controller?

Yes. I’d suggest enabling time-remapping for each layer within your precomp, then exposing those parameters with Essential Graphics. Then you’ll be able to animate them as Essential Properties in the main comp, and it will all only take one layer.
