  Positioning an object in 3D space

  Hi
  I have used camera tracker to map the shot in After Effects and I am trying to insert a 3D object in the shot so it’s positioned correctly.

  Can anyone please advice a good technique to make sure it has the right positional information so that it stays in one place? Currently I’m giving myself a headache by using trial and error! Thanks in advance!
