Position further away from Nul Expression
Goood day everyone,
I have a bunch of copies and my goal is to move every copy a little bit further away from a nul object (which is set in the middle for now). The challenge is that every copy also has a rotation and time offset that is using the previous Index number. I won’t be able to use a simple X and Y position offset because of the rotation changes for each copy. Is there a way how I can move my copies further away from the nul object with each previous Index number that works with the changes in rotation?
Currently I have the following expression in my Position:
X = thisComp.layer(“Control”).effect(“PositionX Slider”)(“Slider”)
Y = thisComp.layer(“Control”).effect(“PositionY Slider “)(“Slider”)
thisComp.layer(index-1).position + [X,Y]
And the following expression in my Rotation:
control = thisComp.layer(“Control”);
(index – control.index)* thisComp.layer(“Control”).effect(“RotationSlider”)(“Slider”)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If I understand correctly what you want to achieve with rotation,
you could try by putting the position expression on the anchorPoint instead of position.all the layers will orbit the central point
