portrait made of dots, quick way to animate them out to in?
I have created a portrait of myself for a project awhile back that is made of hundreds of dots. I want to make an animation of them all flying in. I’ve seen this effect before probably as more of a filter or a 3D application? (curious as to how this works as well) but other than hand animating all of the dots (each a photoshop layer) Is there a script or a trick to getting them to explode??

You can get more feedback if you post an image. Without seeing one, I would think that using Card Dance should do the trick. You can also use CC Ball Action to either re-create the dots portrait and then animate the explosion, or use a combination where you transition to your drawing at the end, right before the dots settle in place.
