    Since installing Tiger on my G4 Ive been getting tons of pop up ads and Virus warning ads, just like on my Sony Vaio. My G5 which does not have the Tiger upgrade is still able to surf with no pop ups.

    hello…

    i don’t think that’s tiger doing that – might want to check your system for any 3rd party apps that could be responsible for that sort of thing…

    (did you install any sort of file sharing software? they are typical culprits for that)

    “Tiger” OS itself has nothing to do with popups. Have you set your Safari (or Firefox) browser’s preference to “Block popup windows?” The browsers’ blockers get most of them, but there are a few popups/popunders that do manage to evade interception.

    oops yes, its a fresh install, and Ididnt set all the prefs, thanx a bunch.
