  • Poor image quality DVD with stills (slideshow) FCP X

    hello,

I reluctantly and finally gave up on FCP 7 (which i loved!) for FCP X

Tried to do a slideshow importing stills from iPhoto (shot with canon rebel D 60)

Looks great in the fcp viewer but after exporting to a DVD the stills look bad and very pixelised…

    Technology is driving me mad…

When I created new project I used settings as follow

    1080 hD / 1920×1080 / 29,97 (after watching a tutorial on youtube!)

How can I improve this and make it look a bit more professional?

    Thanks!

1080i or P? How did you make the DVD? DVDs are 720×480, so don’t expect them to look like 1920×1080. But still you should get decent results.

Oh my, i never was good with these figures… I used 1080p HD
    Should I use 720p?
    what settings should I use for format/ resolution/ rate ? ?
I’m a good cook, i can mix spices but these numbers are like Mandarin to me!
    Thanks for the reply anyway!
