  • Pod 5 App – How to get a cost estimate

    Hey all –

Doing a little gig with a mix of footage that will be shot and stock footage. The Pond5 app for FCPX is terrific, but I was wondering if anyone had experience getting a cost estimate for the pulled footage through the app without having to download the full res version? Been looking around the app and on the web with no luck. Basically I would like the app to tell me how much my finished project will cost in terms of Pond5 footage. Thanks in advance.

I have no idea what the answer is, but this seems bat sh*t crazy. There’s no price or total? Maybe all the clips aren’t royalty free?

There may be a simple way that I am just missing. Pond 5 site was down, so I will call support. The app itself is really easy and a great help. When I am done, I simply grab the project from the Library and drop it into the app. It replaces all the proxies with full res files. I imagine that it what Adobe Stock is like, but I think Pond5 has a lot more imagery and it works directly in X. Will let you know what I find out.

Until you get the bill! ????

    I’m sure there’s a way. There’s always a way.

The app does sound really cool. I’ll be glad to know how it turns out.
