PNG FILE PROBLEM PLS HELP!!!!!

The file size is definitely the problem.
I just tried it and it locked up on me as well (quad core with 2 GB of RAM).
The JPEG worked for you because it’s roughly half the size of the PNG.
If you can do it, shrink the image down to around the 10,000 pixel mark (approx. 20% smaller).
When I did this, it loaded in OK on my machine.

All I can say is try it and see what happens.
The largest graphic I’ve ever worked with was 5,000 x 4,000 and any zooming/panning slowed a a P4 3.4GHz machine to a crawl.
