    Been reading up on the F3 for an upcoming feature.

    Is it true you can use xdcam log & transfer just
    like xdcam ex to get the F3 footage into final cut pro?

    I don’t think I’m going to use the Cinemon plugin.

    yes, that’s correct. you may also want to consider the XDCAM Transfer plugin over the Log and Transfer plugin, as XT handles imports as a background task. this allows you to keep working in both FCP and the transfer window as the files are coming in.
