PluralEyes + Vegas => Ways of working with the synced video+audio
Hi,
I will edit seven video interviews in one project. Each interview has around 2 hours. The audio was recorded externally and then synced through PluralEyes.
My issue is that I am trimming all the interviews and each time I send a piece to timeline the original audio is what follows the video. I mean, it seems the new synced audio by PluralEyes just work on the tracks, but the media still attached to old audio.
I would like to work with video + new synced audio (the old audio doesn’t matter anymore). I am thinking on two ways of dealing with it and I would appreciate help to understand what way would be better. Maybe there are other ways as well:
a) I have created seven different projects in Vegas (each project is related to one raw interview, without editing work, just the new audio synced by PluralEyes was added). After that, I have created one main project and imported the seven .veg projects. In this way, I will edit .veg projects, not the media files directly. I had never dealt with editing .veg projects and I am not confident if it could provide good results, since I will deal with seven .veg that sum around 14 hours of video…
b) The other way would be through rendering the video + new synced audio and creating seven new media file with same raw media settings. Then I would work with these new media files.
Thanks in advance,
Cadu
