    hi there,

i wanted to test pluraleyes 3 today for syncing canon 5D MkII H264 files with sound being recorded external without TC. syncing the files in pluraleyes went pretty smooth. and much faster than the old version.

i exported the resulting MOVs (including the new audio) to a bin. surprisingly resolve does not play audio of these files.

in the media pool the movie icons show the audio sign and in the audio window you see tracks 1 and 2 highlighted. i guess this means, resolve “sees”, that the MOVs contain the two tracks of audio. but: no signal there – abolute silence

playing back the same files in apple quicktime player: no problem, picture AND sound OK.

when i add the original MOVs into the media pool everything is fine. resolve sees and plays the sound of the internally recorded audio.

right now i can forget about my “perfect” workflow i intended to go:

    1 – autosync video/audio in pluraleys
2 – import resulting synced MOVs in resolve
3 – 1 light color correction and burnins in resolve
4 – export to avid DNxHD 120 for offline
5 – edit in media composer
6 – export AAF to resolve
    7 – import AAF
8 – link to synced MOVs
9 – grade and finish in resolve

anybody has an idea? maybe pluraleyes creates none-standard files??

Strange that it doesn’t see/hear the sound after the sync process. Perhaps in the interim, change the steps around a little:

Grade first, create QuickTime wrapped DNxHD (not MXF wrapped)
    Sync in Pluraleyes
Either fast import or AMA consolidate which both should be just the time it takes to do a copy.
