    Hello folks, wondering if anybody can help me identify the correct plugin to imitate the pixelated RGB look at the beginning of the film Zidane, a 21st century portrait.

    Not sure if they actually zoomed in on a real TV monitor or not. In my case, I can’t achieve this without serious aliasing, due to my DSLR camera.

    Found this plugin from AEScripts, but it looks too blocky to me.

    Any recommendations would be much appreciated.

    I’d use a very tiny scaled Grid Effect on a Solid as an Alpha Inverted Matte for my footage. Precomp that then scale up the precomp to your heart’s content. Use fast blur on the grid effect layer if you need to soften it.
