plugin 3 track ball color-corection controller
Posted by Ted Joyce on January 20, 2010 at 7:37 pmAny suggestions for a USB 3 track ball color-corection controller for Final Cut? Tanget’s Wave looks interesting at $1,500. Anyone using it?

take a look at Euphonics MC color.
I have one and I love the heavier weight.

January 20, 2010 at 10:13 pmThanks, will ck it out. Do you know if it will work within Final Cut’s 3 way color corrector filter as well as color?

Euphonix has the MC Color but to my knowledge it is not shipping yet. They contacted me a while ago about getting a unit to write a review but haven’t heard from them since November.

January 21, 2010 at 2:48 pmI believe the only trackballs that work with FCP’s 3way CC is the JL Cooper (eclipse or spectrum). I use my Spectrum all the time in FCP – unfortunately more than I get to use Color, as not ever project requires the power and time needed for Color. I will say my grades in FCP got better with the trackballs.

January 21, 2010 at 6:12 pmthanks, I’ll hold off for your review. Wish there was something cheaper that would even just work on FC7’s 3 way color corrector.

January 22, 2010 at 9:25 pmI also give the Wave two thumbs up. Aside from the trackballs, there are many other short cuts that are laid out on the buttons and knobs, yet it is intuitive enough to start using immediately.
