    Plug-In previewing

    I have Sony Vegas 8 installed on both my PC and laptop. For some reason I am unable to preview plug-ins while editing on the PC. I have to render the clip with the plug-in to see the result. However, on my laptop, I am able to preview it. Is it a setting of some sort I am missing? Any hekp would be much appreciated.

    You might have the FX bypassed on your desktop.
    You might have a problem with Direct X on your desktop.

    Those are the first two things I’d look at. FX bypass is in the Preview window, looks like a half-moon. If it’s pressed, it could/can bypass your FX in the preview window.
