I’m trying to produce some news cast open for our tv station. We have Adobe After effects 7.0 and I’m wonder if there is any plug in for it that it can do 3d objects and some cool textures. Our budget is not huge.

    Thank you!

I second the Zaxwerks suggestion. If you’re looking for a plug-in for 3d text, they are the #1 choice. You’ve seen their stuff everywhere on TV.

However, you might also check this out.

I’m also a Zaxwerks user, but for the sake of completeness, there are at least two other options worth mentioning.

You could look into Boris 3D Objects; there’s a demo, so you can make sure it runs on AE7.

You could also upgrade to CS4, which includes native support for Photoshop 3D objects, although they are limited in comparison with Zaxwerks.
