Pleaseatville style Music Video???
Hey COW’s,
I have to do a tutorial in our film class and I have chosen to show my peers how to do the ‘Pleasentville Effect’NOTE: The effect where only one object in a scene has colour and everything else is desaturated.
I know how to do the effect using Color and in Final Cut Pro but im finding it hard to find examples of it apart from the movie. I’m specifically looking for Music Video or Television Commercial examples, but any other type of production is helpful too. So yeah, thats it.

It’s not a video, but TNT is doing it a lot right now in their ads for the NBA playoffs. Try to find their commercials for that, they do a great job on those

“The Spirit” was just out in theaters (similar to Sin City).
UFC commercials use this.
One of those Zales or Kay or Jared’s (one of those jewelry companies) commercial used it.
