  • Please welcome Chris Poisson to the FCP forum team

    Hi All,

Before I welcome Chris Poisson, I would like to thank Tom Wolsky for having been such a great leader in this forum over the years. It has been an honor to know and work with Tom and we want to acknowledge his wonderful support of users here over the years. (We truly hope that some of you who have benefited from his input here, will buy one of his books or one of his DVD series for Class On Demand.)

I’d also like to welcome Chris Poisson, one of the COW’s illustrious users and leaders to the Final Cut forum team. While Chris is a true power user of Final Cut, my husband likes to point to Chris’s work painting album covers for groups like Mahavishnu Orchestra and Santana.

We look forward to working with Chris in the days ahead and hop that you will join us in welcoming him to the team here.

Did you do the cover for Birds Of Fire? (One of the best fusion records ever made!)

I’d like to welcome Chris and also thank Tom for serving side by side with me here on the FCP Forum. Tom had every opportunity to reach over and pick my pocket at any time, but he was always above board and totally honest, and he never once grabbed my wallet.

Let me just say, Chris is very talented, not only at FCP and record cover creation, but also with After Effects. As I like to tell him, I’m always amazed that everything he creates and animates is always motivated, and it’s never just tacked-on for effect.

Meanwhile, let me just pass on one piece of advice to you all, don’t ever try to assist or tamper with Chris’s corn on the cob, as you may lose fingers. He has very definite ideas about buttering corn, and he will kill if necessary to get it done in his prescribed manner. So, beware…

The highest compliment I have ever gotten is from David regarding the thought behind my effects work. It is the thing I have worked hardest on all these years. A reason for everything. And yes, watch out if you are serving me corn, because there’s a reason why I butter it the way I do too.

I am honored to be here, hope I can help…

Have as good a day as you can.

    DOOOOOD!

that album cover is permanently burned into my psyche, as it was used to help put together other things that burn….nudge, nudge….wink ..wink

oh and yeah, by all means welcome

and a tip of the hat to tom, for his simple, straight forward, concise answers over the years..

Well thanks Bob, that artwork was deeply buried in spiritual thought, and I am still proud of it to this day, so thanks.
