    Hey,

    Can anyone please help me import my footage into finalcut???

    I have my bpav folders on the desktop

    I have updated my final cut to 6.0.5

    I have xdcam transfer 2.1 and xdcam ex clip browser

    When i open final cut, i go to import then sony xdcam…..it opens xdcam transfer…But how do I get my footage in here?????

    I can see it in the clip brower, but when i try to add a source to the transer…i put bpav into another folder..then ad that folder…but it says no clips???????

    Also the import button is greyed out??

    Can anyone please help me???

    Hi Josh,
    Try to do it without FC.
    Use just the SONY Transfer tool.

    Yeah i tried that….

    I go to add…then navigate to the folder that my bpav is in….its adds it to the source column, but it says there are 0 clips????

    But in xdcam clip browser i can get to the folders and play the mp4’s so i know there is material in the folders…

    Make sure you’re using XDCAM Transfer 2.11 (you mention 2.1).
    Make sure the BPAV in in a parent folder. Select that parent folder in XDCAM Transfer.

    Ok. I just upgraded to 2.11…

    now when i got to ad source ..i look for the folder and when i hit select it looks likes its checking..but then goes away and nothing ads under the source bar?????

    this cant be right??

    Please follow my instructions. The BPAV must be in a parent folder. Add that folder, not the BPAV.

    Yeah…i have the specific bpav folder i need in another folder on the desktop..im trying to ad that folder on the desktop…but it wont even ad now….??????

    Just in cast it’s become corrupted, can you copy over the BPAV from your backup and try with that?

    OK so still no workie…i got the cards that were still on the camera in…and some old footage i had on my hard drive….i tried to copy the folders to my harddrive, but they still didnt work from there…

    unfortunately i dont have back ups….but the original folders still work on xdcam clip browser….i’m really confused how this is possible?

    Is there any way i can export them throught there for FCP???
