  • PLEASE HELP…..AUDIO whacked

I’ve used FCP a million times, and all of a sudden there’s a deadline to be met when…..any audio file put into the timeline plays back choppy…or broken up in places….The same song that came from three different sources have all done the same thing….any help would be most appreciated….I haven’t changed any settings at all in order for this to happen….

    Thanks,

Make sure the audio is a 48 kHz aif… if it’s not, use QT Pro to make it so.

    Darrin,

When FCP starts acting strangely all of a sudden, it’s usually tine to trash the preference files. If you’re unsure about how to do this go here for a short lesson:

    https://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/trashing_fcp_prefs.html

You can also get a free program to do it for you. It’s called FCP Rescue. Just do a Google search and you’ll find it.

Thank You Thank You Thank You Jerry and Don…….I thought that I had for sure used mp3’s in FCP in the past…..I’m perhaps mistaken ……..and I s’pose a little “house cleaning” is a good thing too…..

    Thanks again…
