Hi
Please forgive me if this topic has been covered before. I have a Decklink HD Pro (SIngle Link) in a Dual 2.5GHz G5 running 10.4.5. My problem is that the Decklink prevents my G5 from sleeping; with Decklink drivers installed, the G5 will sleep when Video Desktop is enabled, but not when it’s disabled. As I don’t use Video Desktop, this is annoying as it means the cursor disappears off the screen, as the G5 thinks it’s got another display connected. I know for sure it’s the Decklink drivers causing the sleep problem, as the problem goes away when I uninstall the drivers. Is this a known issue and is there anything that can be done about it?

This is a known issue but we’re looking into how we can fix it.

we NEVER let our video mac’s sleep, not the machine, not the disks.
only the screens can sleep after 1 hr.
also disabled are the visual screensavers : if the kick in during capture or layback to tape you could have dropped frames
the mac’s can be on all time, this gives no problems. -
Thanks – at least I know it’s not a problem with my Mac or my Decklink.
