I’ve been editing a feature documentary for about a year now with about 150 hours of footage and up until recently no problems to speak of. Recently I had the power go out with my project open (not sure if this caused the problem), but when I tried to reopen the project it would crash everytime on “preparing video for display”. All of the autosave files for the project file did the same. So I was able to open an older autosave file, copied everything to a new project and it opened except when one specific sequence was open. So I deleted this sequence and of course did all of the other standard fixes: trashed preferences, repaired permissions, opened on another machine. But now even though the project will open it takes 3-4 times as long and has unexpectly quit once so far. Any ideas? Am I still working with a corrupted file? I’m afraid to continue working it is still corrupt. My project file is admittly very large 190 MB, but has never been a problem before.
