Please forgive the novice question: How do I turn the beeping off?
Obviously, I just opened the package and installed the program. I’m working through the quickstart and everytime I select an object I get a beep, like the program is trying to tell me I did something wrong. I see no mention of this in the manuals, and I searched the forum. Can someone explain. Otherwise, I’m off to a good start. I’m using 9.5.2 on an iMac G5 2 gig with 2 gig ram, OS 10.4.4

After going crazy for nearly 2 hours of constant beeping whenever I clicked on anything, usually an icon, I discovered the culprit is the show bubbles option in preferences. I had turned it on to help me learn what the icons represented. What a relief! I thought I might have a virus somewhere.
