Please, final cut pro x rendering super slow suddenly
Hello everyone, I am editing on a MacBook Pro;
Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Software OS X 10.8.3 (12D78)I have over 900 GB left of memory. But I edit out of a WD My Passport 1 Terabyte external harddrive.
It used to run extremely smoothly, then out of nowhere it is rendering ridiculously slow.

If you’re sure it’s not being slowed down by an effect you’ve added somewhere then I’d suggest moving the project to a different hard drive to see if maybe your hard drive is failing. You could try a different drive cable – it’s not impossible for a cable to go a bit ‘weird’. You might also try trashing FCPX’s preferences, or completely re-installing the app.
