Playing AVI in sony vegas 10

I’ve never used Window Movie Maker but if all it produces are WMV files then that would be a terrible idea. WMV is another horrible format to edit in Vegas. If it can make AVI files then it might be OK.

Yeah it makes WMV files. What other options do I have. The codecs aren’t working, and WMV seems to be the only thing that will import these AVI files.

Try using AviDemux 2.5
