  • Playhead not following audio in Source monitor

    Hello,

I have a problem with Premiere Pro CS6 on a MacPro.

When I “view” an audio clip in my source window, the audio is played back correctly. The playhead however is not keeping up with the audio which I recognize when setting IN and OUT points while playing back audio.
The positions of IN and OUT are sometimes off by a few seconds. The longer I play back audio the more it is off…

I am using a Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 external sound card but this is also happening with the built-in Line output.

    My MacPro: OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)
CPU: 2×2,6 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    RAM: 20 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB
external sound: Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 (via Firewire)

If you have any suggestions, I’d be really grateful.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your reply.

I don’t think you can set any kind of resolution for audio clips, can you?
I’m talking about the source monitor. Once it’s in the program timeline everything works as it should.

I can make premiere do what you are talking about right now.
in the source window drop in a video clip and make sure that your resolution is set to Full. then go back to marking and editing audio.

I already did that. It has no effect on audio, though.
