Playbook Videos / Vegas 10 and odd behaviour.
Hi Everyone,
I recently got a BlackBerry Playbook and to my dismay I cant edit with Sony Vegas 10.
So off I went searching for an answer, almost all forums simply said convert the original .mp4 to another format. I was about to give up and then I remembered that on my older computer I still have Vegas version 8.0c (Build 260). So I tried opening the .MP4 and it does open the file, in the open dialogue of the Vegas 8 it recognizes the file as
Quicktime:
Audio 48,000 Hz, 16 bit, Stereo
Video 1920x1080x24, 120.000FPSOn My new Quad Core system with Vegas 10.0e (Build 738) 64-bit
It sees it as a Sony AVC file with no info on Audio/VideoSo I figure it must be some kind of codec issue and I have no idea how to fix it.
On my XP Single Core where Vegas 8 is installed, I have tons of Codecs Packs installed so it would be impossible to figure out which fixes it.
I tried installing QuickTime 7.6.2 same version as my Vegas 8 install and no luck.
So its possible to Open my PlayBook .MP4s in Vegas, I just have to figure which codec/drivers to install.
Also:
Movie Inspector in the latest QuickTime Player shows the video as
Format: AAC, Stereo (LR), 48.000 kHz
H.264, 1920 x 1080, Millions
Movie FPS: 29.80
Data Rate: 16.00 mbits/secMaybe someone here has an idea?
