I’m wondering if there’s a simple way to playback clips at 2x speed while making in/out points.

I’m making subclips from lots of interviews and it’s important I hear every word, but it’s doesn’t matter if I hear them twice as fast.

If anyone knows of the simple answer, let me know. Thanks!

The J, K, and L keyboard commands are the universal playback controls on all non-linear editing systems.

“K, the center button of the three, toggles between play and stop.

“J” is play backwards/rewind, and “L” is play forward/fast-forward — hit them once they operate at realtime, twice shuttles at 2X, three times at 3X, etc., etc., etc.

    Got it?
