Trying to do an ETT but this is just normal playback of the timeline.

    Specs
    MBP 2.4 C2Duo/2GB RAM
    OS 10.5.6
    FCP 6.0.5
    Latest QT

    Seq: 1080 23.98 PreRes (HQ)
    Video out 1080i 29.97 PR(HQ)
going out to AJA IoHD (v 6.0.3) down convert to BetaSP Letterboxed

Video plays for less then a second and then I get the Stopped Dropped frames. On read text saying the drives are too slow, did the AJA system test and it is reading at about 120MB/s and only dropping to 90 every now and then.

I tried to see if a DVCProHD 720p would work but in FCP Video out there are no options for DVCPro, just ProRes so it does the same thing. Export an UC SD movie to see if I can get that to work but I really want to do the down convert with the IoHD.

I think it is just too much to ask from the laptop to add the pull down. If I turn off Video out footage plays back fine. Or if I make the video out 1080psf 23.98 it plays with video out but then I get a smooth down convert. Or do I just have settings all mixed up.

Right now I put the movie on a 1080i 29.97 timeline, render and it plays back okay.

Can’t the IoHD insert pulldown? I know the SD Io family did not, but I thought the IoHD could.

I don’t know, I have not had much luck with the IoHD, I don’t use it that often and it always seems to be flaky on me.

I’m going to move this to the AJA Io forum because I’m having a new issue.
