in FCP, i pulled up an HDV1080i60 project and all is well except that it only outputs a still frame on my output monitor. the timeline plays smoothly in the canvas, but only puts out the still frame from wherever the cursor started. i can scrub through the timeline, and the output monitor scrubs as well, but still won’t play.

i then pulled up my last NTSC-DV project, had the two of them side by side, and the DV project played fine on the monitor. i went back and forth between them to see what was different and couldn’t find any differences (thus far) in the settings. any idears??

someone provided me with the answer of checking my View>Video Playback setting that it should match my clips of HDV1080i…

working great now, but it seems like that would’ve been part of the Easy Setup?

(by the way, my last question is really only addressed to the FCP crowd, not the BM crowd as Easy Setups are an FCP thing only…)

    Hi,

Easy setups don’t follow your sequence so even if you switch timeline, it will still be set to whatever was last selected.
