Posting in this section because the problem only seems to occur inside Final Cut Pro.

I’m not sure if “Artifacting” is the right word, but you’ll get the idea.

I received my new dell monitors yesterday, Dell U2410’s. (1920×1200)

I’m having some artifacting issues within FCP. The files will play fine through QT and the issues don’t show up after an export. I’m running a Mac Pro w/10gbRAM/NVIDIA GeForce GT 120.

The footage is proRes422(LT) 1920×1080/23.98. I’ve tried h.264 and XDCAM formats and still had the same problem.

One monitor is straight DVI to DVI and the other is DVI using the MiniDisplay adapter.

At first I thought it was just the monitor using the MiniDisplay adapter but it seems to be showing up on both, in the viewer and the canvas. I figure if it were a rolling shutter issue I it would show up when I play it back in QT. Just not really sure what to do at this point.

I’m attaching a video that shows what I’m talking about, excuse the crappy quality, the issue didn’t show up when I tried to use a video screen capture so I had to film the screen. Video is about half speed so you can see the issue.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Andrew –

Did you ever find a fix for your issue?

We just ordered one of these monitors and I’m noticing something weird on FCP playback. Your Vimeo link is no longer working so I can’t see what the issue is you were having.

    Let me know. thanks.
