  Playback Issues with hdv z7 footage

  Hi,

  Im hoping somone can help me out here.

  I have shot material on Sony Z7 in HDV mode and converted the M2T files in MPEG STREAMCLIP into .MOVS, using H.264

  It plays fine on the timeline until I pause or try to shuttle through the footage, and then it grinds to a stuttery halt.

  Im using FCP 7.

  Am I using the wrong codec ?

  I stupidly logged everything before I tested it on the timeline, so if there is a way of getting round this without having to log again, that would be great, but I accept I should have tested a small clip first.

  If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreaciated.
