    Hey guys,
Been going back and forth on this for a while, 1080p (like the UltraStudio Mini) or 4K? Need to decide and buy soon.
I’m working with 4K footage, exporting 1080p, external monitor is 1440p (NEC 272W). The different res gets me confused.
Not sure how the interface works. If I get the UltraStudio Mini which supports up to 1080p – will everything on the screen get bigger, like changing the settings of the monitor from 1440p to 1080p?
    Thanks for your input.

More screen real estate for the GUI is generally a good thing.

External displays can show anything you set in the Output Scaling options. You can use a 4K timeline and an HD output display with no problem, or vice-versa. Or a 4K timeline and a 4K display, or an HD timeline and an HD display. The section on scaling in the manual is a critical one to understand when dealing with projects at one resolution that need to be delivered at another.
