Playback after Compression
I have a random question….
Why is the playback of a project after it’s been sent to compression and burned to a DVD faster than when it’s being edited and played in Final Cut pro.
Is there a way to “slow down” the playback speed so that it doesn’t seem sooo fast when watching the final project?

sounds like you have retimed the encoded footage, this is not a normal thing, there is a setting that is wrong. There is a frames tab in compressor and retiming is on the bottom, have you set anything there?

When I go to the inspector, here are the “current” settings for either Best Quality or Fastest Encoding:
Frame Controls: off
Resize Filter: Better (Linear Filter)
Output Field: Same as Source
Deinterlace: Fast (Line Averaging)
Adaptive Details : checked
Anti-alias: all the way to the left
Details Level: all the way to the left
Rate Conversion: Fast (Nearest Frame)
Set Duration to: 100%The film was shot at 23.98.

this is an odd one, if the Frame Controls is off, everything else should be grayed out.
Would have to see the project to figure this one out.
