play monitor behavior in Premiere 2017?
In Premiere 2017 why does the Play button default to playing what is marked instead of playing from where the playhead is parked?

Is it the play-button or the play in to out-button?

the regular play button as well as the space bar. If the playhead is parked before the In mark, it jumps to play from the IN (bad) However if the playhead is parked between the In & Out – it will play from that point on (correctly). strange

Sounds like something got remapped or you may need to restore your preferences.
To restore default preference settings and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down Shift-Alt (Windows) or Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting. Release the Shift-Alt keys or Shift-Option key when the splash screen appears.
