Play around trim point monitor only outgoing/incoming
Hi, coming back to Avid after a while away … Is there a way to monitor only the outgoing or incoming audio at a trim point so that I can check whether spurious audio is on the outgoing or incoming shot? I seem to remember I had a short cut for this years ago but have forgotten it.

Ok … making 2 trim settings with 0 for pre-roll or post roll seems to work. Is that the best/only way and can I assign settings to a key or button?

Yup. In trim mode while the footage is playing tap Q (go to in) or W(go to out). The system will now loop the outgoing only or incoming only. Very powerful.
