here are some more screen shots!
The bad image in the composition without PAR correction:

The good image in the footage window without PAR correction:

And my comp settings:

Any hints would be greatfully received!

October 31, 2005 at 9:46 pmJack, try using the Advanced 3D rendering plug-in in the Advanced Comp Settings, not OpenGL.

November 1, 2005 at 10:51 pmThe man’s a genius! Changing to “advanced 3d” fixed the pixelation.
But now, of course, it runs way slower when doing 3D things (like that nice 2.5d technique)…
Is there any way to have the best of both worlds? Can I have speed AND nice images? Where does the OpenGL problem lie? Is it a problem with my nVidia graphics driver? Or a problem with AE?
Many thanks,

November 1, 2005 at 11:23 pmI don’t use OpenGL because it’s not quite “right” yet. That’s AE’s fault right now. Maybe 7 will be better.
You could work in OpenGL, then switch it off when doing the final render, but I don’t think it affects the final render anyway. Hm …
