Pixelated type : Can’t we have better ?

I’m new here but i hope i will find help.
Excuse my english, I will try simple sentences to make myself clear and correct.I’m doing a title sequence for a featured film.
I’m doing it with AE CS4 on a mac.
It’s a 2K format for the big cinema screen.
Type is white on black screen or a sea sequence. Type is not moving.
It’s vector “antique olive” font.
Square pixels.
Best quality is on.When I vizualise it at 100% it is slightly pixelated. As it is when i export it in tiff or dlx best quality.
It’s “just a bit ” pixelated in diagonals and curves, but this “a bit” is visible when on the big screen.
Wiche means my “W, A, S” are awful. It’s the same with helvetica. (i join a image bottom of my post)I have checked around and didm’ found any solution. What I have found best for now is a 0,3 pt fast blur, so i have now blurred pixels… 🙂
Can’t we have better than that ? that surprises me a lot

Is your type in a pre comp? If so, turn the collapse transformation switch on.

Can you share the file? It’s hard to tell what’s wrong without more information or just looking at the file itself.

I tried installing the fonts on my mac, but they won’t install for some reason. I did do some googling to figure that out, but I’m not getting anywhere. I think you might just try converting the font to masks or shape layers. Maybe that’ll help. The comp seems to display fine in my viewer. Maybe you’re zoomed in to 200% and that’s why you’re seeing pixelation? I don’t know at this point since I can’t open the comp with the font as you see it on your computer.
I also don’t have CS4. I only go as far back as CS5.

Is your mac a laptop with one of those silly retina displays?

You might try a Box Blur instead. Set the radius much lower and increase the iterations. Try something like 0.01 radius and 6 iterations.

I thought AE was updated for retina displays. Mine is an old 2010 model and the type looks fine, but it’s substituting a default font in place of your font since I can’t install it.

My mac is not a retina 🙂 and the visualisation is 100 %. It is the same when i export a TIFF.Actually, it is the same problem with Helvetica… Can you make a 100% capcha of a W white on black (size of mine…) To see if it is pixelitated ?
