pixel aspect ratio Q
I’ll be working in FCP 7 with ProRes 4444 footage from an ARRI Alexa in a straight on-line workflow (4444 is our master). I know the footage will be 1920 x 1080 pixels. But…
If we have someone create any imagery in Photoshop or elsewhere to import and composite, should they create images at 1920 x 1080 with square pixels? Or some other setting with another pixel aspect ratio? Sorry for the dim question, this always confuses me, and searching didn’t help.

If everything is 1920×1080 there’s no reason to change now. And you’re working with material that has square pixels, so no reason to change that either.

Right.
1920×1080 and 1280×720 are SQ pixels.
Photoshop by default uses SQ pixels; just set the size.
