I purchased the Pioneer DVR-109 and am trying to use Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. I am using Sony DVD Architect 2.0 to burn the DVD. When I push the Burn button, this error message comes up: “This application does not support burning to CD-R/RW media. Please insert writable DVD media.” IS this firmware problem or what? Thanks, Dennis

DVDA2 does not support dual layer burning. Even if your project will fit on 4.3 gigs, why waste an expensive DL disc?

I’ve had no luck with this combination either (DVDA2 and the 109 drive). I previously had an A05 and had no problems.

I now render and prepare with DVDA2, but burn the DVD with Nero.

Thanks…Actually, I’m burning 3 hours of video, so my MPEG2 files are around 6gb…

Thanks…I looked for an update to DVDA2.0, but found nothing about DL support….I’m burning 3 hours of video to the DL discs. I don’t have a menu system set up because there’s no need for one with this project. Do I still need to create (prepare)the Video TS and Audio TS folders in DVDA2.0 then burn them in Nero or can I just take the MPEG2 file and burn it directly to Nero?

Prepare in DVDA and the burn with Nero.
